Ungodly Profits

Colonel’s Blog, Earthdate 13 February 2024…

Hey Y’all!

Good morning and happy Tuesday from Air2Ground Farms!! The sun is shining brightly, reflecting off of the 3 inches of snow we got yesterday. The temps are supposed to be near 60 degrees today so the snow won’t be here for long. The top pic is Shelley and I this morning after unrolling hay for the flerd. The bottom three pics are the flerd enjoying their breakfast. The middle pics are during the snow storm yesterday. The animals all continue to do well through the winter with nothing significant to report. Our next farm project will be to move the chickens out of the garden so we can begin the rest/prep for this year’s planting. They did an amazing job of taking care of all of the grass and weeds that had invaded by the end of the season. They have tirelessly scratched, pecked, and pooped…leaving the garden in much better shape than they found it. We’ll move their chick-shaws out of the garden and then encourage them to go along with their shaws. Once we get them all out of the garden area, we will move the net back into place around the garden and close them in their new area. We keep an electrified net around the garden area at all times to keep the cats and other critters out. We’ll let it rest for a week or two and then do a surface till to mix in all of the chickens’ contributions. We’ll then let it rest for a couple of months before planting.

Thank you to all of you that have reached out with words of encouragement regarding my mom’s breast cancer diagnosis. She is still in a bit of a holding pattern as she is able to get appointments. This Thursday’s podcast is an hour-long conversation with her regarding the past three weeks and immediate decisions she made after the diagnosis. As we have done more and more research and looked into information recommended from you guys and YouTube viewers, we continue to be amazed. For some, there is great frustration in the pharmaceutical companies. Comments like “They’re keeping us sick.” continue to pop up. The more Shelley and I have thought about it and discussed it, we’re not sure that’s exactly correct. There is mounting evidence that food is directly responsible for so many of the current health problems, to include cancer. It seems more likely to us that we are keeping ourselves sick by what we shove into our faces and the pharmaceutical companies are all too happy to cater to the illnesses that result. Without the TRILLIONS of dollars spent on drugs, today's food in the form of highly processed carbohydrates, sugars, and high fructose corn syrup would be killing people. Considering all of the advancements in drugs, instead of killing people, the food is just making and keeping people sick. Sick is a perfect place for people to be if you are a drug company. The drug companies don’t have to “keep us sick,” we’re doing an amazing job of doing that for them. They just have to keep us alive, while we keep ourselves sick, to rack up ungodly profits.

Check out Dr. Thomas Seyfried. He is telling anyone who will listen that cancer is a metabolic disease caused by dysfunctions in cellular energy production, as a result of food.

Check out Monday’s Dust’er Mud podcast where we discuss the catch 22 of medical research, the dilemma of profit-driven research, and the metabolic theory of cancer.

Cheers!

It is absolutely “they” who are doing it. Just the fact that FDA is both responsible for FOOD and DRUGs and makes up large portions of its budget from pharma and food companies contributions makes it a suspect.

While consumers are responsible for their choices they shouldn’t have a PhD in science to figure out what they buying.

Let’s start with simple labeling system that would warn about potential dangers of a product. Large letters and in spots that are easy to see.

Added sugar- potentially leads to diabetes. Soda -high blood pressure and hart disease. Yellow 5?

Have at it but remember that it leads to behavioral changes including irritability, restlessness, depression and difficulty with sleeping. Red 40…

Amen. Agree completely with your assessment.

We are killing ourselves....and the pharma companies keep us alive so they can milk us.
